Downtown & Central Akron

The core of the city of Akron, including downtown (the Akron Civic Theatre, Lock 3 Park, the John S. Knight Convention Center), the University of Akron campus, and the historic near-downtown neighborhoods — Highland Square, West Hill, Firestone Park, Goodyear Heights, and North Hill. The downtown waterfront has been reshaped by the 'Ohio & Erie Canal Way' and the Towpath Trail, which runs 101 miles from downtown Cleveland through the Cuyahoga Valley to downtown Akron.
