The northern suburban arc of Albany County, wrapping around the north and west sides of Albany. Anchored by the Town of Colonie — the largest suburb of Albany and home to Albany International Airport, Crossgates Mall area (actually in Guilderland), the Shaker Heritage Society, and the Latham and Loudonville commercial districts. Also includes Guilderland (home to Crossgates Mall, the largest mall in the Capital District, and the SUNY Albany main campus), Menands (on the Hudson River bluff north of downtown), Watervliet (a small historic city on the Hudson, home of the Watervliet Arsenal), and Cohoes (at the confluence of the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers, home of the Cohoes Falls).
