RTA Green/Blue Lines

The historic east-side inner-ring suburbs immediately east of Cleveland, centered on Shaker Heights (one of the earliest planned streetcar suburbs in America, developed in 1905 by the Van Sweringen brothers), Cleveland Heights, University Heights, Beachwood, and South Euclid. Shaker Heights is served by the RTA Green Line and Blue Line rapid transit — the only light rail extension from Cleveland. This region contains some of the region's most historic and walkable residential architecture.
