Lake County, the northeastern Cleveland metro county along the Lake Erie shoreline east of Cleveland. The county's largest cities — Mentor, Willoughby, Eastlake, Wickliffe, and Painesville (county seat) — form a continuous suburban corridor along I-90. Lake County contains Headlands Beach State Park (Ohio's largest natural sand beach on Lake Erie), the Lake Metroparks system, and the James A. Garfield National Historic Site (Mentor, the 20th president's home). Mentor is one of the largest suburban cities in Ohio.
