Grosse Pointes & East Lakefront

The five Grosse Pointe communities along the Lake St. Clair shoreline east of Detroit, plus the adjacent Harper Woods and St. Clair Shores. These historic lakefront communities — Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Woods, and Grosse Pointe Shores — were built on early 20th-century auto-industry fortunes and feature landmark estate architecture, lakefront parks, and the Grosse Pointe Public Schools district. The Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle and the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club are cultural anchors.
