Superior & Douglas County (Wisconsin)

The Wisconsin portion of the Twin Ports metro, centered on Superior, WI (directly across the harbor from Duluth, connected by the Blatnik Bridge and the Bong Bridge) and Douglas County, Wisconsin. Superior has ~26,700 residents and is home to the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Together, Duluth and Superior form the 'Twin Ports,' which is collectively the largest freshwater port in the world by tonnage (primarily iron ore, grain, coal, and limestone shipped to global markets via the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway).
