East El Paso & Horizon

The fastest-growing part of the El Paso metro, stretching east from the city along I-10 into the open desert. Horizon City (pop. ~24,000) is the anchor — a rapidly expanding incorporated city that has more than doubled in population since 2000. This corridor also includes the Homestead Meadows CDPs and other developing communities along Montana Avenue and the I-10 freeway. New subdivisions, schools, and commercial centers continue to push the metro's eastern boundary further into the desert.
