Pennsylvania's state capital on the east bank of the Susquehanna River. Harrisburg contains the Pennsylvania State Capitol (an architectural landmark designed by Joseph Huston, dedicated 1906 — President Theodore Roosevelt called it 'the handsomest building I ever saw'), the State Museum of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania State Archives, the Susquehanna River waterfront and City Island (home of the Harrisburg Senators minor league baseball team and FNB Field), the Broad Street Market (the oldest continuously operating farmers market in the US, 1860), the Harrisburg Transportation Center (Amtrak Keystone Service), the National Civil War Museum, and historic neighborhoods from Midtown to Uptown to Allison Hill.
