Hartford contains the Connecticut State Capitol (an 1878 High Victorian Gothic and Eastlake marble landmark), the Old State House (1796), Bushnell Park (the oldest publicly-funded park in America, 1854), the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art (the oldest continuously operating public art museum in the United States, 1842), the Mark Twain House & Museum, the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, Dunkin' Park (home of the Hartford Yard Goats AA baseball team), the XL Center, Trinity College (on Vernon Street), the University of Hartford (actually in West Hartford), the historic Ancient Burying Ground, and neighborhoods from Asylum Hill (home of The Hartford and historically Twain's and Stowe's homes) to Frog Hollow to the West End to the South End.
