Windward Oahu

The lush, rain-fed eastern coast of Oahu from Waimanalo north through Kailua, Kaneohe, and the small coastal communities of Kahaluu, Ahuimanu, and Heeia. Kailua and Kaneohe are the two largest residential communities on the windward side, offering a beach-town feel with strong schools and family neighborhoods sheltered by the dramatic Koolau cliffs. Further north, the coast becomes more rural through Kaaawa, Punaluu, Hauula, and Laie.
