South Houston & Brazoria County

The SH-288 corridor from Pearland through Manvel and Alvin into the Brazosport area of southern Brazoria County. Pearland is one of Texas's fastest-growing cities and the metro's third-largest suburb, spanning parts of Brazoria, Fort Bend, and Harris counties. Alvin is the hometown of baseball legend Nolan Ryan, and the SH-288 toll lanes completed in 2020 dramatically cut commute times to the Texas Medical Center. Further south, the Brazosport cities of Lake Jackson, Angleton, Clute, and Freeport anchor an industrial and coastal zone at the mouth of the Brazos River.
