Jackson Central & Historic Core

The heart of Mississippi's capital city, encompassing downtown, the historic Belhaven and Fondren neighborhoods, and the northeast quadrant along I-55. Downtown is the government and business core with the state capitol, museums, and JTRAN transit hub at Union Station. Belhaven is a tree-canopied historic district with Craftsman homes near Belhaven University. Fondren is the arts and dining district with independent shops, galleries, and restaurants. LeFleur East and Meadowbrook provide suburban pockets within the city along Lakeland Drive.
