Westside

The expansive area west of the St. Johns River and I-295 within Duval County, stretching from NAS Jacksonville and Ortega south through Cecil Commerce Center to the county line. The Westside is defined by its military presence — Naval Air Station Jacksonville is the region's largest employer — and its comparatively affordable housing stock. Cecil Commerce Center, the former NAS Cecil Field, has been redeveloped into a mixed-use commerce park with an operational spaceport and growing logistics hub. Argyle Forest is the Westside's largest residential community, offering newer suburban subdivisions. The I-10 and I-295 interchange provides regional connectivity, and the Buckman Bridge on I-295 links the Westside directly to Mandarin and Orange Park.
