I-75 North

The residential communities north of Knoxville stretching from Fountain City and Inskip through Halls Crossroads to Powell along I-75 and Emory Road. Fountain City, annexed by Knoxville in 1962, retains a distinct small-town identity with its own commercial district. Halls Crossroads (pop. 10,300) is a CDP centered on the intersection of Maynardville Highway and Norris Freeway. Powell (pop. 13,800) sits along Emory Road near the I-75 interchange. The area offers established neighborhoods with mature trees, Norris Lake recreation access, and shorter commutes to Oak Ridge via Pellissippi Parkway.
