South Lexington & Jessamine County

US-27 South

The primary growth corridor stretching south from Lexington along US-27 (Nicholasville Road) into Jessamine County. Nicholasville Road is the most heavily trafficked arterial in the metro, connecting the University of Kentucky and Fayette Mall to the Brannon Crossing commercial hub and Nicholasville -- the metro's second-largest city. Wilmore, home to Asbury University, anchors the southern end. Newer suburban development, including Beaumont and Palomar, lines the corridor between New Circle Road and the county line.
