Washington County, the northwestern suburban county anchored by West Bend (the county seat), Germantown, Hartford, Slinger, Jackson, and Kewaskum. Germantown sits on the southern edge of the county near the Waukesha/Milwaukee line and is a major residential growth corridor. West Bend is a historic small city on the Milwaukee River with a revitalized downtown. The county is at the edge of the Kettle Moraine geography and contains Pike Lake State Park.
