North Corridor (Sumner County)

The communities along the I-65 North and US-31E corridors through Sumner County, anchored by Hendersonville and Gallatin. Hendersonville, on the shores of Old Hickory Lake, is the most populous city in Sumner County with over 63,000 residents and was famously home to Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. Gallatin, the county seat, has surpassed 52,000 residents and offers a revitalized historic downtown square. Goodlettsville straddles the Davidson-Sumner county line and provides affordable suburban living with direct I-65 access. White House, Portland, and Millersville form a northern tier of smaller communities. The corridor benefits from lakefront living on Old Hickory Lake and proximity to Nashville via I-65 and Vietnam Veterans Boulevard (SR-386).
