Brighton, Irondequoit & Inner Suburbs

I-590 / NY-31 Monroe Ave / NY-33

The immediate first-ring suburbs wrapping around Rochester. Brighton to the south (home to part of the University of Rochester, Twelve Corners, the Brighton-Pittsford school axis) is among the highest-rated school districts in New York. Irondequoit to the northeast (on the Lake Ontario shoreline where the Genesee River meets the lake) and Gates to the west round out the inner ring. All three towns function as dense first-tier suburbs with strong walkability to commercial districts and direct access to the I-490/I-590 beltways.
