North Rockford, Loves Park & Machesney Park

The northern suburban corridor along the Rock River and I-90, anchored by Loves Park and Machesney Park. This area contains the Magic Waters Waterpark, Rock Cut State Park, the Forest City Queen riverboat landing, and most of the region's newer subdivision development. The Rockton Road and Riverside Boulevard commercial strips and the Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) — a growing cargo hub for UPS and Amazon Air — are within this region.
