Inner East Bay

The urban core of the East Bay stretching along the I-80 and I-880 corridors from Richmond and El Cerrito south through Berkeley, Oakland, and Alameda to San Leandro. Oakland is the region's largest city and a major port, cultural hub, and increasingly prominent tech center. Berkeley is home to the University of California and a world-renowned intellectual community. Richmond anchors the north with industrial heritage and waterfront revitalization. BART provides extensive rail service with stations throughout this corridor.
