Northeastern Pennsylvania's largest city and the Lackawanna County seat, famously known as 'The Electric City' for being one of the first American cities to have an electric streetcar system (1886). Scranton contains downtown (Lackawanna Avenue, Courthouse Square, the Mulberry Street nightlife corridor), the University of Scranton campus (a Jesuit university on Linden Street), Marywood University (Green Ridge neighborhood), the Steamtown National Historic Site (a major National Park Service site preserving the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad yards), PNC Field (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders AAA baseball — the NY Yankees' AAA affiliate), the Electric City Trolley Museum, the Everhart Museum, the Lackawanna County Courthouse, historic Hill Section mansions, the Green Ridge neighborhood, South Side, and West Side. Scranton is the hometown of U.S. President Joe Biden and was the setting for NBC's 'The Office.'
