Oswego, Fulton & Oswego County (Lake Ontario)

I-81 North / NY-481 / NY-104 Ridge Rd / NY-3

Oswego County sits north of Syracuse on the Lake Ontario shoreline. Anchored by the City of Oswego (on the lake at the mouth of the Oswego River, home to SUNY Oswego, Fort Ontario State Historic Site, and the H. Lee White Maritime Museum) and the City of Fulton (on the Oswego River, home of the historic Nestlé chocolate plant — now closed — and Sealright paper). The region also includes Phoenix, Pulaski (the 'Salmon Capital of the World' on the Salmon River), Mexico, Hannibal, Sandy Creek, Hastings (Central Square), Parish, Williamstown, Constantia, and Cleveland (on the north shore of Oneida Lake). Known for its Lake Ontario snow belt — Oswego County receives more snowfall than any other low-elevation area in the contiguous US.
