Downtown Topeka
The core of the city of Topeka on both sides of the Kansas River. This region contains the Kansas State Capitol (with its restored 1903 dome), downtown Topeka (the Topeka Performing Arts Center, Evergy Plaza, the Great Overland Station), the NOTO (North Topeka) Arts District (a revitalized historic commercial district with galleries, restaurants, and the NOTO Art Center), the Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park (commemorating the 1954 Supreme Court decision ending school segregation), and Washburn University's campus just south of downtown.
